Assistant Instructor
The NAUI Assistant Instructor Course is a NAUI Leadership level certification designed to introduce students to the basics of scuba diving instruction. It also tests individuals in the fundamental water skills that are needed to be capable assistants. As a NAUI Assistant Instructor, you are able to assist NAUI instructors in conducting dive training. This is a highly recommended step toward becoming a NAUI Instructor.

Extra Costs: text books, NAUI Membership fees, liability insurance
Prerequisites:
- Minimum age of 18
- Minimum certification of NAUI Master Scuba Diver and NAUI Scuba Rescue Diver or equivalents. Divers with evidence of equivalent training and experience may be enrolled provided they pass the NAUI Master Scuba and Scuba Rescue Diver exams with a score of at least 75% on each
- Proof of at least 20 logged dives in varying environments and activities
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid (CPR equivalent to St. John Ambulance Level C)
- Unconditional medical approval for diving within the last 12 months
- Must supply all of the required scuba equipment
