Heliair

This course is to provide the training and experience necessary to gain the knowledge and understand the hazards of utilizing heliair for dives to a maximum depth of 180 fsw (55 msw) that require stage decompression, utilizing EANx mixtures and/or oxygen during decompression. A minimum of 6 dives will be required for this course, all between 100 to 180 fsw (30 to 55 msw).

Cost: $500 (minimum of 2 students) or $800 for private course

Extra Costs: scuba equipment, boat fees, park admission fees, tank fills, transportation and accommodation as required.

Prerequisites:

  • Minimum age of 18
  • Minimum certification of NAUI Technical EANx Diver, Decompression Techniques Diver and Helitrox Diver (or equivalents)
  • Proof of 100 logged dives, at least 10 of which have been decompression dives in the environment is which the course is to be taught, preferably using Helitrox in the 100 to 150 fsw range.
