Marie Falardeau |
| Marie took up scuba training on a whim in 1998, dragging her husband Tom along with her. That whim turned into a love affair with scuba diving that sometimes supplants her love affair with Tom. Marie became a NAUI Dive Master in 2001 and has been working with Burton’s Dive Service ever since. In addition to her divemastering duties, Marie took over teaching marine life identification courses from Burton’s Dive Service’s founder and former President, Sam Burton upon his retirement. Always pushing the envelope, she is certified as a TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver, a TDI Decompression Procedures Diver as well as TDI Basic Trimix. She earned her NSS-CDS Cave Diver rating in 2005 and is currently completing her NAUI Instructor Training Course. As well, Marie is one of Burton’s fledgling group of underwater DPV divers. Following in the wake of her husband, Marie has taken up underwater photography and is now populating the slides of her marine identification classes with her own pictures. Marie has logged dives in the St. Lawrence and Lake Ontario, in Florida caves as well as in Belize, Bonaire, Dominica, Saba, St-Vincent, Roatan and the Turks & Caicos. |
