Master Scuba Diver
The word 'Master' implies that a person is in control or an authority. To this end the NAUI Master Scuba Diver course challenges not only your physical skills in diving, it challenges your knowledge as well. It is not a leadership program, rather a program for your own personal achievement. The academic portion of the program is comprised of about 23 hours of learning. It is an enrichment of knowledge in physics, physiology, and medical aspect of diving as well as various types of diving activities and problem solving. A minimum of 8 open water dives are used to upgrade your proficiency and improve your competence in the water. We will be aiming for 12 to 16 dives total. This course is an excellent progression toward NAUI Technical courses and/or NAUI Leadership roles.
Cost: $400.00 (minimum of 2 students)
Extra Costs: boat charters, scuba equipment, tank fills, park admission fees, transportation
Prerequisites:
- Minimum age of 15
- Minimum certification of NAUI Advanced Scuba Diver or equivalent
