Night Diver Specialty
Night diving is an exhilarating experience. Are you bored of the same old dive sites? Diving these sites at night provides a totally new experience. You will see the dive site in a whole new "light". Everything about diving at night is different including fish behavior. Learn more about a particular wreck by looking at it in smaller sections at a time. With the benefit of a good underwater light, you will re-introduce the full colour spectrum and see things you would never see during the day when the natural sunlight is heavily colour filtered.
This course prepares a diver to function safely and effectively by providing the skills and knowledge to enhance the safety of diving at night. Coverage will include planning and preparation, night diving equipment, procedures, problems, hazards, navigation and buddy system techniques. Though only 2 dives are required for the course, we will do 3 or 4 dives in total.
Cost: $125
Extra Costs: boat fees, scuba equipment, tank fills, park admission fees, transportation
Prerequisites:
- minimum age of 12 years (12-14 year olds will receive Junior certification. Please contact the store for details)
- certification as NAUI Scuba Diver or equivalent
