Tom Falardeau
NAUI Divemaster #38016

Tom was dragged into scuba diving by his wife Marie in 1998.  Sceptical and unwilling at first, Tom was hooked on the sport within hours of his first dive.  He became a NAUI Dive Master in 2001 and has been working with Burton’s Dive Service ever since.  Tom developed a fascination with technical diving even before becoming a Dive Master and dragged Marie along with him.  He holds TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver, TDI Decompression Procedures Diver as well as TDI Basic Trimix certifications, and earned the NSS-CDS Cave Diver rating in 2005.  As well, he is one of Burton’s fledgling group of underwater DPV divers.  Tom is the store’s “go-to” guy when it comes to underwater photography and underwater video.  He is also a prolific writer for the  newsletter published by Burton’s affiliated underwater club, the WetOwls.  Tom’s diving experience is highly varied and he has logged dives in the St. Lawrence, Lake Ontario, Florida cave systems, and in Belize, Bonaire, Dominica, Saba, St-Vincent, Roatan and the Turks & Caicos.  However, underwater caves both in Florida and closer to home, remain his second true love after his wife, and he has produced two cave diving DVDs so far, with more to come.
